Biography

Joseph is an experienced litigator who has returned tens of millions of dollars back to consumers and employees. Joseph has successfully litigated numerous class actions against companies such as Nespresso, Disney, ULTA, Whole Foods, McDonald’s, Burger King, Door Dash, Mars, Inc., BevMo, Panera Bread, and Kate Spade.

His journey began with a personal experience that ignited his passion for consumer protection while working as a law clerk with the Los Angeles District Attorney, Consumer Protection Division’s Office, where he prompted investigations by state agencies resulting in a $113 million-dollar multistate settlement against Apple for misrepresenting iPhone batteries and performance throttling. Joseph’s unwavering commitment against false advertising, unfair competition, and corporate deception, has empowered consumers to make informed decisions about the products they purchase.

Prior to his legal career, Joseph graduated from UCLA School of Law, with a business law specialization, where he served as a member of the Journal of Environmental Law and Policy and competed in UCLA Law School’s Mock Trial and Moot Court tournaments. During his time in law school, Joseph also volunteered at the El Centro Legal Clinic, where he helped financially disadvantaged individuals with housing issues. Joseph received his undergraduate degree from University of California, Los Angeles, where he graduated summa cum laude, Dean's Honor List, and College Honors, and received scholastic achievement awards from Golden Key Honor Society and Phi Alpha Theta Honor Society.

Joseph is an active member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA), Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC), and Beverly Hills, Los Angeles County, and Santa Monica Bar Associations. He is admitted to practice law in California and before the United States District Court for the Northern, Eastern, and Central Districts of California and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
